Inspect, search and export
- Select the original JPG, PNG or WebP and open its report.
- Search field names and values. Review resolution, orientation, colour and source-related groups separately.
- Copy visible information or export a structured report. Include GPS or prompts only after explicitly choosing to reveal those sensitive fields.
A field is evidence of what is stored
EXIF, XMP and IPTC can contain camera settings, authorship, comments or source declarations. Many of these fields are editable. A camera model or date is not by itself proof of authenticity, and a missing field does not prove it was deliberately removed.
The same concept can appear in more than one container or namespace. When values disagree, preserve the source context rather than copying one convenient value as the whole answer. For signed provenance, use the AI source report to review validation rather than treating a readable string as a valid signature.
Frequently asked questions
Why are location and prompts hidden?
They may reveal personal or sensitive information. You can deliberately reveal them, and their inclusion in an export should remain an explicit choice.
Does a photo always contain EXIF?
No. Screenshots, exports and some sharing workflows may not retain it. Supported containers can also hold metadata outside EXIF.
Does viewing metadata change the file?
Inspection does not need to modify the original. Use Metadata Remover when you deliberately want a cleaned copy.
